Classic French Toast

Classic French toast definitely deserves one of the top spots in any brunch ideas list! You can use any remaining bread you have from last week (challah or brioche are the perfect candidates, but others will do too), as the slight dryness of the slices is best for making French toast as they maintain a bit of ‘chew’ even after soaked in egg and fried.

Pancakes

Another brunch classic is, of course, pancakes! These you can have with any of your favorite toppings (including savory if you prefer, try with cheese and spinach if you haven’t before!). Other than the fact that nearly everyone likes pancakes, they are easy to make and served nicely with some fresh fruit or little bowls of toppings can seem incredibly impressive, they are also usually made with ingredients most of us have at home already, as well as very easy to make dairy-free too.

Banana Bread

Banana bread is another delicious and easy thing you can whip up, whether you have a lot of cooking expertise or don’t, and is seriously delicious as a Sunday treat that can also last you into the week. For a slightly more continental style brunch, eggs benedict is an absolute favorite, or how about just popping to the local bakery for some fresh, warm croissants, lay the table with some delicious butter, fresh jam (jelly, depending where you are from), fresh fruit, fresh coffee, or alternatively some salad and smoked salmon and cream cheese for your croissants, and voila you are good to go!
