‘American Princess’ (Cancelled)
Lifetime’s last scripted original show American Princess has been canceled nearly two months after the season one finale aired. According to some, Lifetime is working on some new shows but nothing is official. American Princess follows the story of a young socialite whose wedding ends in disaster and she runs away to join a renaissance fair. This could have been an interesting spin on the debutant drama cliche, but it did not pan out the way that the writers intended.

‘The Detour’ (Cancelled)
The Detour has enjoyed four full seasons, but TBS has decided to boot the show, announcing the cancellation in September 2019. This leaves the comedy series, starring Jason Jones and Natalie Zea, dead in the water where it ended in August. It is hardly a surprise as the ratings barely reached the cut throughout all of the seasons. Co-star, Jones, and his wife wrote the show and they partnered with Samantha Bee to produce the series.
