With one more pull, his hand was free of the handcuff. Blood dripped down his wrist, but he was so pumped with adrenaline that he didn’t notice it. He quickly strained himself against the bars, pushing his arm through to reach the radio. Just as he was ready to grab it, the car door slid open, and the police officer entered.

“What do you think you’re doing?!” the officer shouted as he noticed Daryl’s injured hand holding the radio. The cop went to Daryl’s side and handcuffed him again. “You’ll pay for this,” he remarked, inspecting the damp spots on his car’s inside. After securing Daryl in his seat, the officer drove away. “What did you do to my car?!” Daryl inquired.
