Loretta comes home one day and rushes to Michael. “My love, your mother… I don’t…” she murmured, her voice trembling. Michael’s anxiety increased immediately. What’s the matter? “How is she?” he wished to know. Loretta, with a pale face, settled him down and explained that she had simply gone to bring Cathy some soup by chance. When Cathy opened the door, Loretta was astonished to find her face covered in bruises.

He claims she fell
Loretta was upset and questioned Cathy about what had happened, but she simply brushed it off and explained that she had fallen out of her wheelchair. Despite her injuries, she seemed to be feeling fine, if slightly embarrassed by the situation. Her daughter-in-law was reassured that she shouldn’t worry and that it wouldn’t happen again. “I made a mistake, that’s all,” she insisted.
