The Other Side
No one replied. There was complete silence, like the call had never connected in the first place. What kind of terrible data package was this schoolgirl on? She decided that the best way forwards would be to take the damned thing to the police station and allow the professionals to sort this pain in the neck out. As she was about to discard the phone, a voice sounded.
“Can you hear me?”

The Other Side
Fear In Your Ear
She squeaked almost embarrassingly at the sudden sound of someone’s monotonous and patient voice. There was something unnatural about the voice. It sounded almost robotic to Amanda, who put the phone back to her ear delicately to avoid being startled again. She said hello and then hurriedly asked if the person was aware of who the iPhone belonged to. She repeated her story of how she found it, but as she was midway through the telling, the phone hung up once more.
