Insiders expect that the latest addition to the U.S. submarine fleet will resemble the Seawolf class, but mostly so in the way it looks. As can be expected, it’s going to be quieter, somewhat larger, and naturally, a whole lot faster. The Seawolf-class made use of nuclear sub tech, so it isn’t a far reach to imagine that the SSN(X) will come with similar features, although obviously more advanced and updated in its functioning.

It is apparently going to be able to share information between all kinds of different vessel types, as well as having the ability to track what enemy vessels are up to. The SSN(X) should be well prepared to counter any possible threats facing the country in the coming years, and beyond.
