There are quite a number of celebrity personalities who have been with us over the last century. Whether film stars, politicians, or musicians, they have been there all the way, through all the countless changes that have occurred in the last ten decades or so! We put together a list of some of our favorite and most loved celebrities who are still the live and kicking legends we have known and admired, for literally centuries now! Being in the spotlight for so many years puts pressure on people to maintain their youthful looks, resulting in many turning to aesthetic surgery while others have opted to age naturally, either way, there is plenty of grace and stature for all of us to admire.
ANN-MARGRET, 77 YEARS OLD
This talented woman is famous for two outstanding talents that landed her most prolific roles such as Viva Las Vegas and Bye Bye Birdie; her incredible acting skills and her beautiful singing voice. She has also recorded many songs and won numerous awards for both her acting performances and for her singing.
SYLVESTER STALLONE, 72 YEARS OLD
Sylvester Stallone might have just had his 72nd birthday, but that has not stopped the iconic Rambo from continuing to act and have a flourishing career – despite being the subject of a number of death hoaxes over the years! This action hero is still alive and kicking, there is even a rumor that we will see him play the iconic role of Rambo once again!
ALI MACGRAW, 79 YEARS OLD
Ali MacGraw is an actress who has put her name to quite a number of projects by now, but what really catapulted her to success was her performance in the classic film of the Romance genre, the 1970s Love Story, where she played the titular role opposite Ryan O’Neal. People Magazine once named her on their 50 Most Beautiful People list, and we think that she is still as beautiful as ever, the way she seems to have embraced aging so gracefully an inspiration to the rest of us.
DEBBIE HARRY, 73 YEARS OLD
Debbie Harry has worked in film as well as modeling, but is most well-known for her influence and achievements in the music industry. Harry was the lead vocalist of the musical collaborative that had hits with songs like Call Me, Heart of Glass and Rapture, and is thought to be a group that pioneered a new wave of music, also becoming one of the most successful pop-groups in the 1970s and 80s. This talented lady has also featured in sixty films, including Hairspray, Cop Land and Videodrome.
KIRK DOUGLAS, 101 YEARS OLD
This living legend has lived a full life, where luck seems to have been on his side! Performing in countless projects with that trademark dimpled chin, Douglas has also survived quite a number of life-threatening events. He lived through the Second World War while serving in the Navy, survived a helicopter crash in 1991, and survived a stroke at the age of 80.
CAROL CHANNING, 97 YEARS OLD
Carol Channing became a star in the entertainment industry thanks to her amazing singing voice, starring in musical shows such as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Hello Dolly!, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Our Mrs. Channing takes great care of what she puts into her body, and seeing as she is now 97 and still looks fabulous – it must be working!
HAL HOLBROOK, 93 YEARS OLD
Hal Holbrook is certainly one of the most brilliant men in the industry, IMDb recognizing him as one of “the great craftsmen of stage and screen”. He has been the recipient of both Tony and Emmy awards, making his big break in 1954, when he received critical acclaim for his one-man stage-show, Mark Twain Tonight. Since then he has produced a very impressive resume for his work as a film and stage actor, and television director, recently even making a guest appearance in the hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy.
DIAHANN CARROLL, 83 YEARS OLD
Diahann Carroll, a Broadway and film actress, singer and former model, was the first non-white woman to star in a TV show in the 1950s, becoming a huge inspiration for many aspiring black American women wanting to build their careers in the entertainment industry. Originally considering a career as an operatic singer, she later went into acting and was nominated for numerous awards, and became the first African-American woman to win a Tony award in 1962. Carrol later defeated breast cancer, but also retired after the battle. Most recently she has had reoccurring roles in the likes of Grey’s Anatomy and White Collar.
LEX LUGER, 60 YEARS OLD
This well-known wrestler’s career was at its height in the 1980s and 1990s, being known as ‘The Total Package’, competing in both the World Championship Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation, as well as playing football in the NFL for the Miami Hurricanes. Sadly, Lex Luger’s active sports career was forced to come to an end when he suffered a spinal stroke, but he is still in the game behind the scenes at the WWE as an active member of the Wellness Policy team.
CICELY TYSON, 93 YEARS OLD
Cicely Tyson is most well-known for her screen and stage performances portraying the lives of African-American women. You might not know this, but she was also a fashion model back in the day! In 2011, Tyson gave a stunning and award-winning performance as Constantine Bates in the movie The Help, and has been nominated for, and won! a number of awards for her striking and talented performances, continuing to perform to this day. Tyson doesn’t take just any role offered, maintaining a loyalty to portraying strong positive images of Black women, making her a most definite admirable entertainer and performer.
LINDSAY WAGNER, 69 YEARS OLD
Although Lindsay Wagner is no longer performing in the entertainment industry, she will never be forgotten for her portrayal as the lead character of Jamie Sommers in the iconic TV show The Bionic Woman. Although her career slowed down since the 1990s, Wagner still has a fire burning for the arts. Other than writing books, running self-help therapy workshops and seminars, she spends most of her time teaching at the San Bernardino Valley College.
LONI ANDERSON, 72 YEARS OLD
The stunning Loni Anderson was unforgettable in her portrayal of Jennifer Marlowe in the TV series WKRP in Cincinnati, where she was likened to the prolific actresses of the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield, as well earning her a number of nominations for prestigious awards. She has also appeared a number of hit movies, as well as cast to portray the wonderful Jayne Mansfield.
RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN, 84 YEARS OLD
Richard Chamberlain got his big break in the 1960s as the handsome Doctor in NBC’s hit TV show, Dr. Kildare. The success of the show opened doors for him in both theatre and film, paving a long-standing career in the entertainment industry. He played the iconic Jason Bourne in The Bourne Identity long before Matt Damon did, as well as performing in The Thorn Birds, and King Solomon’s Mines, and Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold. Chamberlain has also been one of the first openly gay actors in the industry, a role model for many for not being ashamed of who you are and worried that the industry will judge you for it.
JULIE ANDREWS, 82 YEARS OLD
Julie Andrews is the epitome of growing old gracefully and an undeniable world-renowned legend. The all-around star is most famous for her roles as the wonderful Mary Poppins, and the unforgettable nun-turned-governess in The Sound of Music, where she displayed her indisputable talents as dancer, actress, and singer. Andrews still acts today, her latest project was in fact as the voice over for Gru’s mom in the animated film Despicable Me 3.
LEE MAJORS, 79 YEARS OLD
Lee Majors was definitely a household name in the late 1970s and 80s, particularly because of his leading roles in the hit US TV shows The Six Million Dollar Man, and The Fall Guy. He was previously married to actress Farrah Fawcett, the Charlie’s Angels star, and they made television history in 1976 as a husband and wife both starring in respective top-rating shows.
EVA MARIE SAINT, 93 YEARS OLD
Eva Marie Saint has had an undeniably long and successful career as an actress. She began in show business in the late 1940s, really making herself unforgettable in her role opposite Marlon Brando in the film On the Waterfront, which also earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She is a hard and committed performer, and we hope she is proud of all she has achieved. We know we are!
JACKIE MASON, 86 YEARS OLD
Jackie Mason is a stand-up comedian, who made it to the headlines in his 1986 one-man show The World According to Me, for which he won a Special Tony Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award, an Ace Award, an Emmy Award, and a Grammy nomination. Although now retired, Mason has been ranked at number 63 in Comedy Central’s list of greatest comedians of all time.
OLIVIA DE HAVILLAND, 102 YEARS OLD
Olivia De Havilland is a Hollywood centenarian who has starred in a number of Hollywood classics, her most memorable performance definitely being her part in the cult classic Gone with the Wind, as the character of Melanie. De Havilland was also adored as one-half of the popular duo alongside Errol Flynn, them both starring in films such as Captain Blood, Dodge City, and The Adventures of Robin Hood. She is now in a very well deserved retirement!
TONY BENNETT, 92 YEARS OLD
Tony Bennett a legend in the Jazz and popular music industry, also a former soldier in the Second World War, went on to have a career that spanned over half a century, and is still singing! What a lot of folks don’t know is that before all that, he studied painting at the New York’s School of Industrial Arts. Bennett has produced the vocal for the soundtracks of a number of hit films, including The Goodfellas, Jurassic World and The War of the Worlds, to name but a few!
ANN BLYTH, 90 YEARS OLD
The wonderful Ann Blyth made a name for herself in the entertainment industry by appearing in quite a number of films as well as theatre performances. With her track record, it is no surprise that there is a star with her name on it on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! One of her most well-known performances was when she played Veda Pierce Forrester in the film Mildred Place, the daughter of the leading character played by the superb Joan Crawford.
DEAN STOCKWELL, 82 YEARS OLD
Dean Stockwell has been in the entertainment industry for over seventy years! He began acting at the age of 7, when he played the character of Gregory Peck’s son in the film Gentleman’s Agreement. Stockwell is truly a star from the Golden Age of Hollywood, having starred in the court drama Compulsion with Orson Welles, worked with the likes of Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra, and many know him best as the lewd Admiral Al Calavicci, his character in the television show Quantum Leap. His last acting credit was for a film in 2015, since which he suffered a stroke and decided to retire.
ANGELA LANSBURY, 92 YEARS OLD
The beautiful Angela Lansbury has appeared in plenty of Hollywood projects over the years, the hit TV show Murder She Wrote is a long-standing and much-loved production. However, she will still always be remembered as being the voice of the theme song of Beauty and the Beast (she was also the voice of the character of Mrs. Teapot in the same film), even surprising fans when she came out of retirement in the 90s to perform the hit song on stage.
NORMAN LLOYD, 103 YEARS OLD
Norman Lloyd is definitely a living legend, at 103 years of age, he has lived through some significant historic moments as well as hung out with quite a number of central figures in the industry. With his career spanning over eighty years, he has collaborated with Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles, as well as being pals with Charlie Chaplin. Other than his career as an actor, Lloyd is also known for his work as a director and producer. You may think that his advanced age would mean he has retired, but you would be wrong! Lloyd is still performing, and you can find him on the TV show Fly.
SIDNEY POITIER, 91 YEARS OLD
Sidney Poitier has earned himself quite a name as a Hollywood actor, having made history as the first black American actor to win an Oscar, as well as his many critically acclaimed performances. One such performance was in the film Lilies of the Field, which also earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor, and in 1974 he received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II. Other than acting, Poitier has also dipped his very talented toe in the fields of producing and directing.
CARL REINER, 96 YEARS OLD
Carl Reiner is a man of many talents, and a legend in American comedy, he has built up quite a resume in acting, singing, directing, and writing. Having worked alongside Mel Brooks and Dick Van Dyke, and most recently as Saul in the Blockbuster Ocean’s Eleven films. Over the years he has earned himself nine Emmy Awards, three as an actor, four as a writer and two as a producer, as well as a Grammy Award. He is also a lifelong Democrat, and during the 2016 US Presidential Race, he was an outspoken supporter of Bernie Sanders. Reiner remains active in the entertainment industry and long may that continue!
Rhonda Fleming, 95 Years Old
Rhonda Fleming got her big break in the Alfred Hitchcock film Spellbound, and has performed and starred in roughly forty Hollywood films over the years. Her vivid red hair and pale complexion have earned her the title of “The Queen of Technicolor”, not a title easily forgotten! Since she left acting she has devoted her time and energy to charity work, with a particular focus on healthcare and medical insurance. Together with her fifth husband, Ted Mann, she founded the Rhonda Fleming Mann Clinic for Women’s Comprehensive Care, a UCLA Medical Center.
ROBERT FULLER, 85 YEARS OLD
Robert Fuller is also famous for his role on the medical drama show Emergency, but well before that Fuller made a name for himself in the Western genre of film, starring in 60s television shows such as Wagon Train and Laramie. So it seems very suitable to know that when he retired from the entertainment industry he retired to North Texas, the state of the original cowboys.
BARBARA EDEN, 87 YEARS OLD
Barbara Eden is most well-known for her title role in the NBC sitcom I Dream of Jeannie, which ran for five years, and saw her quickly leap up the ladder of fame. People Magazine ranked Eden as “One of America’s 200 Greatest Pop Icons of the 20th Century”. Eden has starred in numerous films and television shows over the years, in 2011 she released her best-selling memoir The Jeannie out of the Bottle, and is now enjoying her retirement.
NANCY SINATRA, 78 YEARS OLD
Nancy Sinatra had quite the shoes to fill, being the daughter of the talented Frank Sinatra, but she proved she has been up for the job, making her own name for herself! She started singing and recording music in the 1960s, as well as a few hits with her father, and released her last album as recently as 2013. Nancy Sinatra has been known for keeping a low profile but the speculation is that she has now retired.
BOB BARKER, 94 YEARS OLD
Bob Barker is a name synonymous with the much-loved game-show The Price is Right which ran for 35 years! He has also hosted big beauty pageants such as Miss USA and Miss Universe. He retired a while ago, after suffering a number of health issues, including some accidents and several bouts of skin cancer.
SALLY FIELD, 71 YEARS OLD
This much-loved actress has been in the business for nearly six decades! Sally Field began her acting career at the age of 19, in the sitcom Gidget. The sitcom was cut after one season, but Field had made a name for herself by then and went on to star in The Flying Nun, which ran for three seasons, as well as in a number of other television productions such as The Girl with Something Extra and Sybil, and most recently as the impressive matriarch in Brothers and Sisters. Field conquered the big screen too, starring in iconic films like Forest Gump and Mrs. Doubtfire. She received her first Oscar Award for her performance in Norma Rae, and Academy Awards for her role in Places in the Heart. This actress has quite a number of accolades under her belt and a secure place as a favorite in the entertainment industry, but it seems that there is nothing that will cull this impressive actress’s passion for acting, as she still continues to work on a variety of projects in both film, television and theatre.
CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER, 88 YEARS OLD
Here is the second favorite star of The Sound of Music, the Canadian actor Christopher Plummer who played Captain Von Trapp in the smash blockbuster film. Plummer has an astounding track record for critically acclaimed theatre performances, and is thought to be the premier Shakespearean actor in the 20th century to have come out of North America. Plummer became the oldest actor to receive an Oscar, for the 2010 film Beginners, and this fabulous actor is still going strong, recently nominated for another Academy Award for the film All the Money in the World.
BERNNADETTE STANIS, 64 YEARS OLD
BernNadette Stanis made a name for herself during the 1970s with her character Thelma Ann in the hit CBS show Good Times, her sophistication and grace making her the epitome of black beauty in that era. Stanis later went on to appear to TV shows like The Cosby Show, The Parent Hood, and The Love Boat, and while still occasionally making guest appearances in various projects, she has mostly retired from the big screen to focus on her family. In 2006 she also released a book, BernNadette Stanis Situations 101, displayed her talents as a writer too.
TIPPI HEDREN, 88 YEARS OLD
Tippi Hedren is unforgettable for her role in the Alfred Hitchcock film The Birds, and although she has made a number of appearances in various projects, she has generally been retired from the industry for quite a while. Hedren is also well-known for being the matriarch of a number of other successful entertainers, as she is the mother of Melanie Griffith, and the grandmother of Dakota Johnson and Stella Banderas. Today she spends her time fundraising for a number of charities and is predominately concerned with wildlife preservation.
PRISCILLA PRESLEY, 73 YEARS OLD
This beauty was just your normal teenager when she first met the King of Pop, Elvis Presley, and was to not to have expected that she would go on to marry the man and that they would have a daughter together. After their marriage ended in 1973, Priscilla pursued a career in acting as well as developing a number of businesses. When the King of Pop died in 1977, their only daughter’s inheritance was a mere $1 million dollars. Priscilla managed to get Elvis Presley Enterprises up and running again, successfully transforming Lisa Marie’s (their daughter) inheritance to a $100 million estimate. Nice one Mom!
MARK HARMON, 66 YEARS OLD
This handsome man was clearly made for a job in front of the camera! What you may not know is that Mark Harmon is also quite a talented sportsman as well as having achieved academic success, originally had considered going into advertising or law before he realized that acting was the way forward for him. While he attended UCLA he earned himself the All-Round Excellence Award from the National Football Foundation, while completing his studies. Harmon is probably most well-known for his role as the Secret Service Special Agent Simon Donovon on The West Wing, as well as the much loved Special Agent Jethro Gibbs in NCIS, which he is still playing today!
TINA LOUISE, 84 YEARS OLD
Tina Louise has appeared in a number of film and television projects, but is most well-known for her portrayal of the character Ginger Grant in US sitcom Gilligan’s Island. What you might not know is that Tina Louise actually burst onto the entertainment scene through her Broadway performances, and more interestingly, although she has taken a step back from acting, she is an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as well as a lifetime member of the Actors Studio. Louise has also published a number of books, including children’s books. She is a literacy and academic advocate, and volunteers as a tutor for New York City children with a non-profit organization, Learning Leaders, stating that when young students gain literary skills they gain a whole lot more too, such as “confidence, self-determination, and proof of their own potential”. What an inspirational woman!
KIM NOVAK, 84 YEARS OLD
Kim Novak has acted alongside some of the most prominent actors Hollywood has ever seen! Including the likes of Kirk Douglas, William Holden, and Frank Sinatra! She is most well-known for her role in the Alfred Hitchcock film Vertigo, where she starred opposite James Stewart. Novak retired from her acting career fairly early on in order to focus more on another passion of hers, visual art.
DIANA SERRA CARY, 99 YEARS OLD
The name Diana Serra Cary may not be familiar to you, as she is most associated with her screen name: Baby Peggy. Cary is considered to be the last living star of silent film, starting to star in films at the very young age of just 19 months! She has taken part in roughly 150 films, mostly as a child! Diana Serra Cary did not enjoy the harsh environment of the entertainment industry and decided to retire from the screen early, later being forced back onto the screen when her father’s step-father, a banker to whom she entrusted her earnings, lost all of her money. Years later she found success through writing, with her hit autobiography Whatever Happened to Baby Peggy?
VICTORIA PRINCIPAL, 68 YEARS OLD
Victoria Principal will always be remembered for her character in the hit TV series, Dallas. Now 68, she has her own brand of skin care products, and has also released a number of books about beauty, wellness, and fitness.
HONOR BLACKMAN, 93 YEARS OLD
Honor Blackman, the British blonde bombshell, rose to fame in the television series of The Avengers, with her character of Cathy Gale. The role caught the attention of casting agents who then offered her the iconic role of Pussy Galore in the Bond film, Goldfinger. At 93 years old, she still looks gorgeous and we are sure that her martial arts skills have played a part in her fitness regimes that have got her looking so fine in her prime! Blackman is definitely a favorite on the list of those who have aged gracefully.
STAN LEE, 95 YEARS OLD
Stan Lee has never been one to let age get in the way of his success, with each new generation knowing his name and loving his creations as much as the last generation did. You’d be farfetched to find someone who wasn’t familiar with the Marvel characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Spiderman, and Thor, all of whom are his creations! If Stan Lee was not around, there would never have been any of the Avenger movies! Imagine! Today he is retired from comic book writing, and even though he suffered some heart problems and today wears a pacemaker, this legend is still going strong, and still makes cameos for the Marvel Cinematic Universe installments.
NANETTE FABRAY, 97 YEARS OLD
Nanette Fabray began her career in the entertainment industry at the young age of 3 in the Vaudeville arena, going on to demonstrate her skills in tap dancing and singing. Fabray went on to perform in Broadway, before making the move to the big screen, going on to win Emmy and Tony Awards for various performances. While she was young she had a hard time in school which led her to believe that she had some kind of learning difficulties, she later learned that she actually had a conductive hearing loss. This discovery led Fabray onto the path of becoming an advocate of deaf people’s rights.
JIMMY CARTER, 93 YEARS OLD
Jimmy Carter is our second nonagenarian (a category dedicated only to those who are between 90 and 99 years old!) former President of the United States of America. Carter was the 39th President, and perhaps his greatest accomplishment was in foreign policy, remains an outspoken advocate of human rights till today.
DAWN WELLS, 79 YEARS OLD
Dawn Wells is the only other surviving star (other than Tina Louise, also on our list) of the hit sitcom Gilligan’s Island, where she portrayed the character of Mary Ann Summers. You might not know that Dawn Wells is both beauty and brains. She was Miss Nevada in 1959, and went on to compete in the Miss America pageant. Originally, accepted to the prestigious Columbia to study medicine, she then found drama club and her future found a new course. Although no longer acting, Wells still teaches acting classes and participates in various theatre projects. Today she runs a clothing line for disabled people, The Wishing Wells Collections.
VERA LYNN, 100 YEARS OLD
Vera Lynn was favorably nicknamed “The Forces Sweetheart”, as she began her singing career during the Second World War, her stunning voice giving much-needed comfort to soldiers during the terrible war. This English performer went on to fame, becoming known not just for her beautiful singing voice, but also for her acting in both film and television. For her 100th birthday Vera Lynn released an album named ‘Vera Lynn 100’, which is already quite inspiring at such an age, but even more impressive is that it reached number three in the charts!
GENE REYNOLDS, 94 YEARS OLD
This handsome man became well-known, with his face becoming instantly recognizable with any number of performances in American television and film. However, his Hollywood career came to an abrupt end when a letter from the recruitment office arrived, calling him to enlist in the army to participate in World War II. After the war, Reynolds returned to the industry, but this time to be on the other side on the camera. Leaving acting behind, he became a famous and successful director who has received a number of accolades over the years, and probably still most well-known for creating the popular US television series, M*A*S*H.
SALLY STRUTHERS, 71 YEARS OLD
Sally Struthers made a name for herself when she starred in the hit television series All in the Family as Gloria Stivic. Now at the age of 71, she is still an active participant in the entertainment industry, performing in theatre, television, and film. Sally Struthers is also considerably active in the charity sphere, as a spokesperson for The Child Fund, and for the International Correspondence Schools, which aid impoverished children around the world.
ADRIENNE BARBEAU, 73 YEARS OLD
If you ask us, the much loved Adrienne Barbeau has only gotten better looking with age! In 1971 Barbeau starred as Rizzo in the original musical stage production of the cult classic Grease, where she displayed her considerable talents as an actress, singer and dancer, and immediately making her a star. In 1972 she starred in the American sitcom Maude, and following that she went on to perform in a number of roles in both television and film.
DENISE AUSTIN, 61 YEARS OLD
If you ever needed more evidence that leading a healthy lifestyle – which includes a balanced diet and daily exercise – is vital if you want to look and feel good as you age… then look no further because Denise Austin is living proof! Denise Austin is a fitness instructor who achieved success in the 1980s with her exercise show Getting fit with Denise Austin, which aired on ESPN2. Re-runs are still aired today if you want to enjoy her fitness regiment, as well as some good 80s outfits! Austin also has a daughter in the industry, Katie, who has developed her own fitness brand, appropriately named Get Fit with Katie. Katie has also recently launched a fitness app of her own too! Mother and daughter also do a lot of collaborations which can be found on YouTube.
BEVERLY CLEARY, 101 YEARS OLD
Even at the age of 101, with many authors who have come after her, Beverly Cleary is still considered to be one of America’s most successful and most loved authors, having sold 91 million copies worldwide since her first publishing in 1951. Cleary has mostly written children’s fiction, with Henry Huggins and his dog Risby as some of her most well-known characters. Cleary has been nominated and won numerous awards for her outstanding work and contribution to American literature.
JUNE LOCKHART, 92 YEARS OLD
June Lockhart has starred in both Broadway, television, and film. She is probably best known for her roles in television series Lassie and Lost in Space, as well as her fabulous performance in the Broadway production For Love or Money. In fact, her performance in For Love or Money was so fabulous she received a well-deserved Tony award for it. She is pretty impressive, which is evident by the fact that she has not one, but two spots on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
ROBERT CLARY, 91 YEARS OLD
Here is something you might not know about Robert Clary; his beautiful singing voice did a lot more than just propel him to Hollywood fame, it actually saved his life while he was imprisoned in a Nazi concentration camp as a child. Robert Clary is not just a wonderful singer, he is also an artist and an actor! He was first recognized for his comedic skills which led him to Broadway, and the rest is history! He is a humble and brave man, who makes a point of focusing on the present and leaving the past behind.
PATRICIA MORISON, 102 YEARS OLD

Katharine Ross first started acting in television westerns, actually making up the majority of her most well-known work, with her natural beauty and acting abilities landing her many roles in the genre. JIMMY LYDON, 94 YEARS OLD
Unlike many others who go into acting seeking stardom, Jimmy Lydon actually started his career solely as a way to provide for his family, later coming to love his job and the craft. Born to a large Irish Catholic family in New York, Lydon overcame a birth defect and having an alcoholic father, to get where he is today. Lydon achieved success by starting out on Broadway and later performing in various television, film, and stage plays, eventually also lending his hand to producing, co-creating the hit TV series M*A*S*H with Gene Reynolds.
CAREN MARSH-DOLL, 98 YEARS OLD
Caren Marsh-Doll is another one of the few remaining actresses from the Silent Film era. This star is not just an actress but also a fabulous professional dancer, most well-known for being Judy Garland’s dance double in the hit films The Wizard of Oz and Ziegfeld Girl. Marsh-Doll is lucky to have had the career she had, as when she was in a plane crash in 1949, doctors considered amputating her foot, luckily they found a way to fix her injury and she was able to dance again.

BOB NEWHART, 88 YEARS OLD
Before Bob Newhart made a name for himself in the entertainment industry he was an accountant in Chicago, and apparently hated every minute. Thankfully, he achieved success hitting the comedy circuits in the 1960s, going on to write and perform in a number of successful television shows such as Newhart and The Bob Newhart Show. Later he also extended his résumé to include film, starring in films such as The Rescuers and Elf. Despite his success in television Newhart is most well-known for his comedic monologue albums, even being nominated for a Grammy award in 2007 for his album I Shouldn’t Even Be Doing This, in the best spoken word album category.
PEGGY STEWART, 94 YEARS OLD
Another star who looks simply beautiful even at the age of 94! Peggy Stewart is most well-known for her performances in Westerns. She left the film business in 1953 to look after her family, but still dabbles in television occasionally, and also stayed active in the Los Angeles theatrical community.

JOYCE RANDOLPH, 93 YEARS OLD
Actors and viewers were similarly disappointed when the television show Honeymooners was canceled after airing only one season, but despite this, one season was enough for the stars of the show to make their mark. Today Joyce Randolph is the only remaining living star of the Honeymooners quartet. After performing in the show, Randolph went on to act in a number of television shows as well as film, as well as several Broadway performances.

Queen Elizabeth is also one of the most loved monarchs, doing a huge amount for public relations and for the former British colonies across the Commonwealth.
BETTY WHITE, 96 YEARS OLD
You might not know this, but Betty White began her career with radio gigs in the 1940s. Apparently, she began in radio because the movie execs of the time decided she wasn’t photogenic enough to feature in their projects. Seems hard to believe, but apparently it’s true. Today, though, she holds the special spot of the longest running career of any female entertainer on television! So take that, movie execs of narrow vision! Although her fans are concerned about her looking after herself and her health, Betty White is showing no signs of any intention to retire any time soon, staying focused on her performance in various ongoing projects.
PRINCE PHILIP, 93 YEARS OLD
Prince Philip was a born into two respective royal families, one from Greece and the other from Denmark, the mix clearly a good one with his strong good looks. So it seems he was used to royalty before he married the long-reigning queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II. Having led quite a public life at the side of the Queen, he still attends Royal occasions and events with his wife, carrying out the duties of such a role with humor and grace, although the humor has been said to have occasionally got him into a bit of trouble!
JERRY LEE LEWIS, 82 YEARS OLD
Jerry Lee Lewis was born into a religious family that wasn’t very well-off, and yet sold their house to get young Jerry Lee Lewis a piano, which he loved and can probably be accredited to have been the beginning of this Rock-n-Roll legend. Jerry Lee Lewis started to establish a name for himself in Memphis after writing and selling a song together with his cousin J. W. Brown. They sold the song to the president of Sun Records, the legendary Sam Philips. This was before it became popular for singers to sing songs written by others, Lee Lewis was a pioneer in this area, as well as bringing the piano into Rock-n-Roll. Married for the first time at 16, he has since divorced six times. Over the years he has overcome quite a number of personal tragedies and struggles, such as losing two sons in different accidents and a struggle with alcoholism. He managed to conquer his struggles and still performs today.

The oldest living celebrity, Julie Gibson, known for being a talented actress, singer, and performer! She started her career in 1937, as a singer in the Jinny Grier Orchestra. The same year, later, she started participating in the radio program of Joe Penner. Her Hollywood Career started in the 1940s, starring in several films; Lucky Cowboy, Detective and more! later in her life, she worked on the small screen in a few episodes of Family Affair.

SOPHIA LOREN, 83 YEARS OLD
This is a name known the world over. Sophia Loren was born in Italy and rose to fame in the United States of America, becoming a Hollywood sweetheart, appearing alongside the likes of Paul Newman, Marlon Brando, Gregory Peck, and Charlton Heston. Loren was also the first person to win an Academy Award for a film in a foreign language, and in 1962 at the Oscars, she won the Best Actress award for her leading role in the film Two Women. She didn’t stop there, this living legend has also been the recipient of a BAFTA, a Grammy, and several Golden Globe Awards, and in 1991 she received an honorary Academy Award for her body of work, being called ‘one of world cinema’s greatest treasures’. She also was one of the first actresses to start her own fragrance brand.
DORIS DAY, 96 YEARS OLD
Prior to becoming one of the most loved actresses of the 1950s and 60s,
Doris Day was actually a singer and dancer, yet on the way back from her Hollywood dance audition she was injured in a car accident which sadly ended her dancing dreams.
However, the good thing is she went on to have an extremely successful Hollywood career, starring in films such as Calamity Jane, The Man Who Knew Too Much, and Pillow Talk, even having her own very successful TV series, The Doris Day Show.

Bolo Yeung may be a retired actor that is well-known for his performances in several beloved martial arts films, which includes Enter the Dragon and Bloodsport, but he is also a famed bodybuilder and is skilled in martial arts. Starring alongside other film stars, such as Bruce Lee and even Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bolo Yeung has made a memorable impact on the martial arts film industry. KRISTY McNICHOL, 57 YEARS OLD
Kirsty McNichol made her breakthrough when she played teenager Letitia ‘Buddy’ Lawrence, in the hit US television drama Family.
