While ordinary people might be able to get away with some of their more embarrassingly explosive moments, celebrities will often have their entire careers ruined by humiliating accidents. Then again, some celebrities will go out of their way to make trouble for themselves, with crazy publicity stunts, problematic statements, and some forms of behavior that we might not be qualified to evaluate. You don’t need to be a psychiatrist to appreciate just how bizarre and cringe-worthy the world of celebrities can get, however!

Few celebrities suffered such a tremendous fall from grace as Michael Jackson did. Despite his godlike status during the 70s, 80s, and 90s, by the time the 2000s began, Jackson had isolated himself as all manner of disturbing allegations hit his former good name. Jackson had various pedophilia charges laid against him, and his treatment of his children was alarming, to say the least, such as when he dangled his baby over a hotel veranda. If Jackson had not overdosed on drugs and died in 2009, he would have likely served 20 years in jail for the many charges he was facing. Shockingly, Jackson would be cleared posthumously for all his crimes.

If you thought that the charges laid against Michael Jackson were frightening, wait until you learn about the prolific predator and R&B superstar, R. Kelly. It was in 2002 that the artist was slapped with almost two-dozen child pornography counts, with an indictment that came to 21 counts. There was also a sex tape that surfaced that showed him engaging in intercourse with a teenage girl. Kelly has also been accused of imprisoning young women and teenage girls as sex slaves.
