Ashlee Simpson’s career would not end in violence or racial misdemeanors, but rather with one of the most classic blunders in singing history. It was during her 2004 performance on the set of Saturday Night Live that Simpson thought that the next track to play in her set would be “Autobiography”, but instead, the song “Pieces of Me” commenced. Given that Simpson had been lip-syncing her way through this performance, she was then forced to try and distract the crowd and millions of people watching from home. The producers then instantly cut to a commercial break and Simpson tried to cast the blame off to the musicians on set.
