Mixed Emotions
When the day came that he would be sent to the orphanage, Nolan experienced a variety of emotions. He had been waiting for this moment for a long time, so he was really excited. He was also a little sad because his wife was not present. He had always seen his own family as consisting of a mother and a father, but that was no longer the case.

Aside from those feelings, Nolan was excited to get in his car and drive to the orphanage. He packed up some toys he had purchased in the hopes of connecting with a child and departed on his way. As he got closer to the orphanage, he became increasingly frightened. What if the kids don’t like him? What if they were terrified of him?
