It was on November 14, 1966, that the man originally called Cassius Clay managed to hit Cleveland ‘Big Cat’ Williams straight onto the canvas in the third round of their boxing match. This explosive knockout was captured at the Houston Astrodome where Muhammad Ali successfully hung on to his heavyweight title. This was the most widely attended boxing match for its time, with 35,460 people cramming into the Astrodome to witness the clash of the titans.

Willie Mays

On September 29, 1954, at the World Series of that time, Willie Mays, who won the Gold Glove 12 times, pulled off the best defensive play of his career during Game 1. Dashing as fast as he could to make a home run, he pulled into the centerfield with a deep fly ball, securing the Giants’ 5-2 victory. You can be sure that Willie was given the NL MVP title during 1954, leading his team to clean up Cleveland and secure the title.
