June 3, 2007 – Yankees at Red Sox. It was seconded following his successful doubling that Manny Ramirez leaped onto the second base as his helmet trailed behind. Hopefully, he didn’t end up landing head-first, or that would have been a headache indeed. Despite his best efforts, going 2-for-4, the Boston players would still find that victory was beyond their reach with a final score of 6-5. Ramirez might have gotten a Nike endorsement out of this photograph, however.

October 22, 1991 – Lakers vs. Celtics. Magic Johnson, the point guard for the Lakers, lobs a blind past beyond Ed Pickney, the forward for the Celtics, in this climactic moment in the preseason event. Unbeknownst to the pictured enthusiastic Johnson, his life would be turned upside down in a fortnight when he would reveal to the world that his basketball career was over, and that he had tested positive for HIV. A sad end to an enchanting career.
