While digging up the rubble in a bathroom renovation, a plumber literally struck gold, when something shiny caught his eye. Turns out it was a brick of gold to the value of $50,000! The plumber was an honest man and handed it over to the rightful owners – the owners of the home. This man ought to be blessed in the years to come.

So we have already encountered before lucky movers finding large sums of money stashed away in their houses. But the amount of $500,000!! That is half a million dollars folks! The money was discovered by contractors doing renovations. The money was hidden inside military ammunition holders. The owners of the house claimed the money was theirs as it was their house. The court however disagreed. They ruled that the money should be given to the heiresses – two daughters who belonged to the soldier who was now deceased. I don’t know what I am more confused or angry by – why would the contractors open their mouths? If that was already done, why not reach a gentlemen’s agreement and split the money, as there was, sure enough, enough money to go round. And IF the need was there to inform authorities, did they even question where, how and why so much? You be the judge.
