One mover endured a traumatising experience which creeped him out, to say the least. After moving in and clearing out, behind the boxes, they discovered a small random door about four feet high. They were not notified of any “extra” rooms, so what was the story here? Some self-investigation was in order. Behind the door, there was a gate, no door handle on the inside of the door. Just in case you not creeped out yet, there a padded wall, a small bed and only one light. Yes, folks, they walk among us.

Now I think I speak on behalf of everybody when I say my heart goes out to this couple – Ben and Amber Sessions. A five-bedroom house sold at $180,000? You just landed the greatest deal ever? No, you just bought yourself a snake hibernaculum! It didn’t take poor Ben and Amber long to realize their home was infested with snakes – seeing them all around the house, hearing rustling in the walls and finally after pulling out a sliding panel just to make sure. They decided it was time to move and filed for bankruptcy, only three months after moving in.

Amanda reddy found a pleasant century-old surprise when she removed her baseboard on her 1910 Cape Cod kitchen. A whole bunch of postcards dating 1907-1909 to a woman named Mayme Berneck, only after a closer look did she see they were nailed to the wall, as she thought they fell behind the baseboard.

1938 Superman comic book? Check. How much do you think you could get for this at an auction? A near-perfect copy about $2.16 million, graded in 2011. This copy, however, sold for $175,000! It was found during renovations in a house and was used as insulation, hence damaged.
